Sanhe Town

Sanhe Town, subordinate to Ping'an District, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of Ping'an District, connecting Gucheng Township, Shagou Township and Ping'an town in the East, Hongshuiquan Township and shihuiyao Township in the West and Xiaoxia town in the north, with an administrative area of 148 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, three towns had 12786 registered residence population. As of October 2019, three towns had jurisdiction over 1 communities and 18 administrative villages; the town government was located in three village.

In 2018, there were 19 industrial enterprises in Sanhe Town, including one above scale and 58 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the chieftain of Xiqi in Qinghai Province was stationed with Gaoqiang Yamen.

In 1949, Gaoqiang township was set up along the old system, which was subordinate to Huangzhong County.

In 1953, zhangqisai, Gaoqiang and Sitai were merged into Sanhe township.

In 1958, the Red Star commune was established (later changed to Sanhe commune).

In 1960, it was transferred to Xining city.

In 1962, it returned to Huangzhong County.

In 1978, it was assigned to Ping'an County.

In 1984, Sanhe township was restored.

In March 2001, Sanhe township was abolished and Sanhe Town was established.

In August 2006, Ping'an County abolished Sitai Township and merged into Sanhe Town.
