Lianhua township of Yunyang County is located in the hinterland of Yunyang County, on the North Bank of the Yangtze River, 5 kilometers away from the new county and 43 kilometers away from Wanzhou District. Yunwan grade II cement road traverses the whole territory, with a mileage of 5.2 km and a flow of 12 km in the Yangtze River, with convenient transportation and obvious location advantages. There are 12 villages, 183 communities, 4268 households and 15131 people in the township. There are 14112 mu of cultivated land, including 4910 mu of farmland and 0.9 mu of cultivated land per capita. The annual grain output is 6335 tons;

In 1999, the per capita net income of agriculture was 1027 yuan, with 451 kg of grain per capita. It mainly produces rice, corn, wheat, sweet potato and other food crops, and the main economic crops are citrus, vegetables, flowers, soybeans and so on. The cadres and masses of the township have a high level of science and technology, and have a strong acceptance of new varieties and new technologies. It is a demonstration township for comprehensive agricultural development in our county. In 2000, it undertook the large-scale comprehensive agricultural development site of the county, and established a good image. All kinds of yield increasing techniques and measures are widely used in the whole Township, of which 80% of the rice planting area is dry raised large seedlings, 68% of the corn planting area is covered with plastic film, and 90% of the new crop varieties are popularized. Agricultural comprehensive development projects mainly include slope to ladder project, high-quality agricultural products base construction, etc. In vegetable cultivation, advanced and applicable techniques such as multiple cropping system, intercropping, plastic film mulching and sunlight greenhouse are widely used.
