In 2011, the area has a total population of 11016 and a total area of 2.4 square kilometers.

In October 1969, the Sixth Street was set up. In 1981, it was incorporated into the Red Army Street. In 1984, Beishan street was set up with 7 residents committees and 79 residents groups. In June 2002, it was merged into three residents' committees. As of October 2019, Beishan street has three communities: the first community, the second community and the third community.

In 2011, there were 3262 pigs in Beishan street, 1410 at the end of the year; 25 sheep, 4 at the end of the year; 60 cattle, 51 at the end of the year; and 1000 poultry.
