Hongxing township is under the jurisdiction of Acheng District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the middle of the District, separated from Binxian County in the East. The township government is 12 kilometers away from the urban area. It covers an area of 168 square kilometers.

General situation of hometown

The township has jurisdiction over 9 villages including Zhenxing, Sanxing, Haixing, Haidong, Cixing, Fuxing, Beizhao, Yixing and Hongxing. In 1990, the total population of the township was 16000, of which Manchu, Korean, Hui and other ethnic minorities accounted for 20.4% of the total population. Township government is located in Zhenxing village. Hongxing reservoir, which is directly managed by the city, is the largest reservoir in the city. It can not only irrigate and raise fish, but also is a scenic spot for people to visit.

Division evolution

In 1939, Daying village was set up in the period of northeast occupied by Japanese. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Dacheng county set up a camp area, which was changed into the tenth area in May 1950. In February 1956, the village was divided into townships and Hongxing township was set up. In September 1958, Hongxing people's commune was established by merging with Haixing township. In 1960, it merged with the dadanling commune, and in 1961, it resumed the Red Star commune. In September 1984, the government and society were separated and changed into Hongxing township.

Hongxing township is mountainous in the East and hilly in the West. It is a township with "Six Mountains, one water and three fields". The total area of the township is 168 square kilometers, with a cultivated area of 33300 mu. There are 7 enterprises run by the township, and their stone products are well-known. Granite as raw material processing into a variety of specifications of stone, sold in and out of the province, blue marble exports to Japan, South Korea and other places. In 1992, the total output value of rural enterprises was 11.52 million yuan.
