Yongan Township

Founded in November 1984, Yong'an township is located in the north of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, bordering Jiudu Township in the East, Xiaao Township in the west, Daxing Township and wuzhu Township in the south, and Banling Township in the north. The township government is 53 kilometers away from the county seat. The township has 13 village committees (Yongan, Anhua, Bada, Anfu, Boyan, Anren, renye, Anye, Anju, Antai, Anlan, Yongji and Anle), 288 villager groups and 408 natural villages. In 2000, the population was 17926. At the end of 2005, there were 4888 households with a population of more than 22000.

Seven village level highways with a total length of 52.2 km and 35 village level highways with a total length of 76.2 km have been built. A water supply plant was built with foreign capital, and more than 3000 domestic and underground water tanks were built. More than 8600 square meters of street cement floor were hardened, and 22 agricultural markets were invested in 880 square meters.

Every household in the township uses firewood stoves and builds rural biogas digesters. More than 25% of the agricultural products use biogas as as fuel. Over the past few years, Yongan Township has been fully implementing the work of Closing Hillsides for afforestation, artificial afforestation and returning farmland to forest. The forest coverage area has reached more than 86000 mu, and the returning farmland to forest area has reached more than 200 mu. Yong'an township is one of the most prosperous towns in the northeast of Du'an County. The trading volume of piglets and cattle is 250-300 and 80-110 respectively. Black goat, Yaojia Sanmao chicken, mango skin, rutin bamboo and bayungan are the key products of Yong'an, which have broad market development prospects.
