Huangdi Town, belonging to Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Suizhong County, bordering tashantun town in the East, Bohai Sea in the south, Wanghu Manchu Township in the West and Shahe Town in the north, with an administrative area of 86.34 square kilometers.

In 1931, it belonged to houhuoshi village and niuxin village in Suizhong County; in 1984, it was changed to wasteland town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in wasteland town was 26425. As of June 2020, wasteland town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in the East wasteland Village.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of wasteland town was 8.57 million yuan. The total financial expenditure was 8.18 million yuan. In 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises and 1 comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters in wasteland town.

History of construction

In 1931, it belonged to houhuoshi village and niuxin village in Suizhong County.

In 1946, it belonged to niuxintun Township and shahezhan Township respectively.

In 1948, it first belonged to niuxintun District 13 of shahezhan District 9, and then to wasteland District 10.

In 1958, it was a happy commune in wasteland.

In 1961, it was renamed wasteland commune.

In 1968, the reform committee of the wasteland commune was established.

In 1983, the Committee of wasteland reform changed wasteland township.

In 1984, it was changed into wasteland town.

At the end of 2011, wasteland town governs 12 administrative villages: East wasteland, West wasteland, Yulin, sangyuan, Xili, Dazheng, Shangjia, niuxintun, shuanke, sunxiang, xitaitun and yangbaotun, with 59 natural villages.
