Shangle Village

Shangle Town, located in the northeast of Weihui City, is located at the junction of Weihui City, Junxian county and Qi county. The total area is 64.89 square kilometers (2017), with 58341 mu of cultivated land.

The town government governs 33 administrative villages with 40405 people (in 2017). With flat terrain, fertile soil and good irrigation and drainage conditions, the town is a major agricultural town in Weihui City.

The main products of farming are wheat, corn, cotton, peanuts, seasonal and off-season vegetables; the main products of animal husbandry are pigs, beef cattle and eggs.

Since the development of efficient agriculture in 1993, the town has formed three pillar industries of vegetables, edible fungi and fruits. 1250 vegetable greenhouses, 485 edible fungus greenhouses and 2300 mu of high-quality fruit trees have been built, and gradually embarked on the production mode of integration of introduction, seedling raising, demonstration, promotion and planting, which has promoted the increase of farmers' income. Xiyan garlic base and deep processing plant, with a total investment of 12 million yuan, has established its own garlic base in surrounding towns, laying a solid foundation for further processing. The first phase of the project has been completed with a total investment of 15 million yuan, and a variety of famous, excellent and special vegetables have been produced.
