Wanjia town

Wanjia Town, Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province is located in the southeast of Dachuan District, across the junction of Liangping, Dachuan and Kaijiang counties, 50 kilometers away from the urban area of Dachuan. The terrain in the southeast is higher than that in the northwest, with mountains in the East, hills in the West and Pingba in the middle, with an average altitude of 713.9 meters. The highest point is tianyingzhai, 1057.7 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is yanbaotang, 370 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 72.46 square kilometers. It governs 17 village committees and 1 community residents committee in Pule, Yingfeng, Gaofeng, Nanya, Yongxing, Sanxing, Wudong, Baowei, Xing'an, Bajiao, caiba, Wanchanggou, Shuangqiao, huangjiagou, Liangfeng, Fanjia and Xiangyang, with a total population of 35066 (2017).

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongchuan District and other five counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 21): Huangdu township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Wanjia Town, and the people's government of Wanjia town was stationed at No. 131 Xinglong Street.
