Gaoqiao Town

Gaoqiao Town, belonging to Lianjiang City, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the west of Lianjiang City and the north of Beibu Gulf, adjacent to Qingping town in the East, lianyingzi town in the southeast, Yingluo port in the south, Hepu County and Bobai County in Guangxi Province in the West and North. Historical evolution

Gaoqiao Town is famous for Gaoqiao polder. Gaoqiaowei is located on the North Bank of Gaoqiao river. Historically, it was the main traffic route of Gaozhou, Leizhou and Lianzhou. It was an ancient post station. It was named after the high-lying wooden bridge.

Ancient tomb in Deyao East Village

The ancient tomb of Deyao East Village is located at the edge of the sun drying yard in the east of Gaoqiao Town East Village. It was flattened in 1958, leaving only fragments of bricks. In 1985, during the cultural relic survey, 12 Han Dynasty tomb bricks were unearthed at a depth of 30 cm, with punctate patterns and a thickness of 8-9 cm.
