Dongya Yunfang

Also known as Yan sit rock, "East Cliff Yan sit", ancient Jiuhua one of the ten. The appearance of this place is square and towering, and its shape is like a boat.

The top is about 200 square meters wide. It is said that when Seng Di Zang first came to Jiuhua Mountain, he often chanted sutras at the head of the rock, so he was also known as Yan sit rock. Wang Shouren of Ming Dynasty once sat upright at Yantou twice and talked with monks about scriptures and Taoism. After monk dizang and Wang Shouren, scholars and celebrities followed each other and wrote many poems on Dongyan. In the Qing Dynasty, there was Dongyan upper court with five storey pavilions. It was destroyed by fire in 1934. In the east of the cliff, there is a thousand Ren cliff, in which there is a duiyun cave; in the south, there are Jinyi stone, flying body place, Yunfang and other stone carvings; in the west, there is a Bell Pavilion. You can see Tianzhu and Wulao peaks in the East, Tiantai, Shiwang and Boyu peaks in the south, Shenguang ridge and the hall of flesh in the west, Jiuhua street and Huacheng temple in the bird's-eye view, the Yangtze River in the north and the clouds rising from the canyons on both sides. Standing on the cloud boat is like sailing on the vast misty waves on a huge ship. Wang Shouren, a philosopher and educator of the Ming Dynasty, visited Jiuhua Mountain twice: in the spring of the 14th year of Hongzhi (AD 1501) and in the January to march of the 15th year of Zhengde (AD 1521). When Wang Yangming returned to Jiuhua, the eunuch once sent his confidants "Royal Guards" to spy on him, but he pretended not to know. Yan sat on the rock and learned from the old monk. The "Royal Guards" once sat on a rock in Dongya and peeped at Wang Yangming. This rock was later called "royal guards stone". There is Dongya bell tower beside Dongyan Yunfang, and there are Dongya temple, Guanyin nunnery and other sceneries ahead. Then you can go to the centenary palace and the new 500 arhat hall.
