Longxiang Street
Longxiang street is located in the North West of Kunming City, starting from Jianshe Road in the East, along Dongfeng West Road to xiaoximen, Xiyuan North Road in the west, Renmin West Road in the South and Kunshi railway in the north. With an area of 3.96 square kilometers and an altitude of 1894 meters, the area has a population of 48828 (in 2010) and 86 large public households. The main jurisdiction sections are: Jiaoling Road, Section 1 of Dongfeng West Road, Section 1 of Renmin West Road, Section 1 of Xichang Road, Section 1 of lingjiaotang Road, KUNSHI Road, Section 1 of 121 street, Section 1 of Kunrui Road, Hongling Road, Fengzhu street, Longxiang street, etc. It governs eight communities. The office is located at 38 Renmin West Road. There are provincial, municipal and district key cultural relics protection units, such as the "six martyrs cemetery", "the monument where the three martyrs died in the December 1 massacre, the monument where Mr. Wen Yiduo died, and the monument and memorial Pavilion of Southwest Associated University. In 1945, the "12.1" patriotic democratic movement mainly took place here.
Historical evolution
Xizhan street was established in 1956, merged into Daguan commune in 1958, restored in 1962, merged into Daguan District Reform Committee in 1969, and restored in 1974. In 1997, it covers an area of 2.3 square kilometers and has a population of 64000. It has jurisdiction over 20 neighborhood committees, including Renmin new village, tianjundian lane, Longxiang street, lower Wenlin street, Anan new village, Jiaolin Road, Xiangyang new village, upper Fengzhu street, KUNSHI Road, Xinjian, Caijia village, lower Fengzhu street, lingjiaotang, Xizhan, ditaisi, Yejian new village, upper Linggang new village, upper qianju street and lower qianju street.
On October 15, 2004, the original Xizhan street was integrated into Longxiang street. In 2005, clear jurisdiction: from Jianshe Road in the East, along Dongfeng West Road to xiaoximen, West to Xiyuan North Road, South to Renmin West Road, north to Kunshi railway; jurisdiction over Renmin West Road, Jiaoling Road, Fengzhu, Honglian, west station, Panjiawan, Hongling, lingjiaotang, Xiyuan North Road community. In 2006, it has jurisdiction over 9 communities including Renmin West Road, West Railway Station, Jiaoling Road, Panjiawan, Honglian, Fengzhu, Xiyuan North Road, lingjiaotang and Hongling. The office is located in Renmin West Road.
