Xitian Gezhuang town

Xitiangezhuang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Miyun District, Beijing, is located in the southwest of Miyun District, between 116 ° 41 ′ 12 ″ ~ 116 ° 49 ′ 55 ″ E and 40 ° 20 ′ 58 ″ ~ 40 ° 31 ′ 24 ″ n. It is adjacent to Miyun town in the East, Shilibao town in the south, Huaibei town in Huairou District in the West and WengZhuang town in the north. The town covers an area of 130.26 square kilometers.

In the late Republic of China, towns were set up in Xitiangezhuang area. In February 1947, it belonged to the seventh district of Yihua county. It was liberated at the end of 1948. In August 1949, it belonged to the seventh district of Miyun County. In August 1950, it was divided into the second district (also known as Xitiangezhuang). In 1953, Cangtou, taiziwu and Daxinzhuang were set up in the district. In 1956, it was merged into CangTou township. In September, the red flag people's commune was established, and then the Xitiangezhuang people's commune was changed. At the end of 1983, the communes were transformed into townships. In 1993, the township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, the town of 39735 households had registered residence in the town. As of June 2020, three communities and 34 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Xitian Gezhuang town. The town government is located at 99 Yanmi Road, Xitian Gezhuang village.

Each town in Xitian has a total cultivated land area of 69000 mu, 1.9 mu per capita. The forest area is 97000 mu. In 2011, the total revenue was 970 million yuan, an increase of 12.6% over the previous year.

History of construction

In February of 1947, Xitiangezhuang area belonged to the seventh district of Yihua county.

At the end of 1948, Xitiangezhuang area was liberated.

In 1953, there were Cangtou, taiziwu and Daxinzhuang in Xitiangezhuang district.

In 1956, Cangtou Township, taiziwu Township and Daxinzhuang Township were merged into CangTou township. In September, the red flag people's commune was established, and then the Xitiangezhuang people's commune was changed.

At the end of 1983, Xitiangezhuang commune was transformed into a township.

In 1993, Xitian Gezhuang township was transformed into a town.

Jingmi diversion canal runs across the territory from northeast to west. Shahe River flows through the western part of the territory.

Yunmeng Sanyu scenic spot is located in Xitiangezhuang Town, the junction of Miyun and Huairou districts in Beijing, with a total area of about 208.7 square kilometers. It was called Yunmeng Mountain in ancient times. It is called "Yunmeng Sanyu" because it reaches xiaoshuiyu in the west, baidaoyu in the East and niupenyu in the middle. The main peak of the scenic spot is 1413.7 meters above sea level, the second peak of the Yanshan Mountains. The mountain ranges extend from north to south, starting from Baihe Valley in the north and ending at Piedmont Plain in the south, with a straight-line distance of 17 km. The elevation of the ridge is more than 1000 meters, and it is slightly narrow in the east-west direction, with a straight-line distance of 11 km.
