Dawa town, belonging to Changtu County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Changtu County. It is adjacent to Bamiancheng, Chaoyang and Sihe towns in the East, Dongga town in the south, Shuangmiaozi town in the West and Qujiadian temple in the north, with an administrative area of 129.5 square kilometers.

In 1907, it belonged to Changtu County and Dawa was the sixth township. In 1992, it was changed to Dawa town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Dawa town was 28247. As of June 2020, Dawa town has 14 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Dawa town was 11.18 million yuan, an increase of 60% over the previous year. In 2018, Dawa town had 3 industrial enterprises and 40 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1907, it belonged to Changtu County and Dawa was the sixth township.

In 1930, the village was restored and Dawa was the seventh district.

In the spring of 1983, Dawa commune was transformed into Dawa township.

In 1992, it was changed to Dawa town.
