Zhoujia town

Located in the southeastern part of Tongzhu County, between Dazhu town and Mingshan County. It is 21 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 108 square kilometers and has a population of 55900. The area is rich in natural resources. The proven mineral resources include coal, phosphorus, lead, iron, limestone, natural gas, gypsum, etc.

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongchuan District and other five counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 21): Zhonghe township was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Zhoujia Town, and Zhoujia Town People's government was stationed at 115 Huaxi street.

Basic information

Zhoujia Town, located between Tongluo mountain and Mingyue Mountain in Dazhu County, was named as the pilot town of small town construction in Sichuan Province in 2000. The planning area of the town is 38.6 square kilometers, the built-up area is 2 square kilometers, and the population of the town is 29000. With an area of 108 square kilometers, the town governs 18 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 135 villager groups and 7 resident groups, with a total population of 55900 (2019) and 28922 mu of arable land. The provincial huizhudian highway (Sanhui Dazhu Dianjiang County, Quxian County, Sichuan Province) and Guanwen Road (Guanyin Wenxing County, Guanyin county) run through the whole area. There are 1 medium-sized reservoir (Pingqiao reservoir) and 4 small-sized reservoirs in the area. The infrastructure conditions of water conservancy, road and communication are good. It has a first-class hospital, a municipal demonstration kindergarten, a municipal school spirit Demonstration Primary School and a municipal demonstration middle school. In 2006, the GDP reached 310 million yuan, the total output of grain supply was 19000 tons, the fiscal revenue was 2 million yuan, the per capita GDP reached 5600 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3402 yuan.

In 1984, the former people's Government of Zhou's hometown was changed into the people's Government of Zhoujia town. In 2004, the former Xihe township was withdrawn and merged into Zhoujia town. Three natural gas production and transmission stations have been developed and built, and Pingqu line of national west to east gas transmission project crosses the border.
