Shuanghe township is located in the southeast of Xiangning County, facing guanwangmiao Township across the river in the west, Taitou town of Guantou town in the north, Guanghua town in the East and Hou Village, Pandao village and Wei village of Fencheng town in Xiangfen County in the south. The township is a typical agricultural township with many hills and ravines.
Shuanghe township is also a red Township, a holy land of revolution and a famous cultural township. It is commonly known as "Xiao Yan'an" in the Western Hills of southern Shanxi.

Shuanghe township is a combination of the original yaxia Township and shuangfengyan township. It is named after shuangfengyan's double character and the crane character of hEPO village in yaxia township. It is located at 35 ° 55 ′ - 36 ° 04 ′ N and 111 ° 06 ′ - 111 ° 14 ′ E. It has jurisdiction over 23 village committees, 124 natural villages, 25884 people (2017), with a total area of 173.17 square kilometers.

Shuanghe township has a long history. According to the cultural relics unearthed from the ancient iron smelting furnace in Macun, it was one of the key smelting and casting sites in China in the Song Dynasty. Now, stone tools unearthed from the Neolithic age and the Neolithic age are found, which are relics of early human culture. This area is more than 50 kilometers away from Yaodu. It belongs to Pingyang Prefecture under the jurisdiction of Li Dynasty. It has convenient communication and is deeply influenced by Yao culture. It has outstanding people and rich products. It belongs to the triangle of Linfen, Xiangfen and Xiangning. Xiangning county is one of the villages and towns with the largest number of calligraphy lovers and celebrities. It is also one of the villages and towns with the earliest underground Party organizations and the largest number of Party members in history. It is the seat of the first Xiangning county Party committee. It can be described as a holy land of revolution and a famous cultural township. It is commonly known as "little Yan'an" in the Western Hills of southern Shanxi.

The general idea of Shuanghe Township Education work is to integrate educational resources, build schools with high standards, run schools with high quality, and take the road of large-scale development. The implementation of "1 + 6" scale school running mode, that is, to build a high standard ten track middle school and six high standard boarding primary schools in the township. In recent years, Shuanghe township has invested more than 20 million yuan to complete the construction of one middle school and four primary schools. In August 2007, two more schools were built.
More than 2 million yuan has been invested in the construction of chanyuhe Central Primary School, and the wall, courtyard hardening, boiler heating installation and other supporting projects of chanyuhe Central Primary School have been improved.
More than 8 million yuan has been invested in the construction of Shuanghe boarding Central Primary School. The primary school, the last of the six Central Primary Schools in Shuanghe Township, covers an area of more than 15000 square meters and a construction area of more than 8000 square meters. It can accommodate more than 800 teachers and students in school, dining and accommodation. All the main works have been completed, and the whole project has entered the final decoration stage.
With the steady progress of the "1 + 6" scale school running mode, the education and teaching level of the whole township is also constantly improving. From 2007 to 2007, Shuanghe middle school reached the score line of municipal key high school to more than 70, and the number of students admitted to the high school entrance examination ranked first in the county's township middle schools.
