Taihe Town

Taihe Town, the seat of Shehong municipal government in Sichuan Province, has been listed as one of the four famous towns in Sichuan along with Zhongba town in Jiangyou City, Zhao town in Jintang County and Sanhui town in Quxian County, and is one of the main distribution centers of commodities in Sichuan. The name of Taihe comes from the book of changes ▪ The meaning of "to keep harmony is to keep chastity". Taihe Town is 100 km away from Mianyang City, 170 km away from Chengdu and 200 km away from Chongqing. Mianyu provincial road runs through the whole territory and radiates villages and towns. The water transportation of Fujiang River connects Pingwu and Chongqing. It covers an area of 27.07 square kilometers and has a total population of 11837 (2017). The main agricultural and sideline products are grain, cotton, oil, pigs, silkworms, fruits, vegetables, etc. it is a high-yield, high-quality and efficient agricultural development zone in the county.

Name and origin

Taihe Town is named according to the meaning of "Baohe Taihe is Lizhen" in Yi · Qian.

Introduction:

Taihe Town is located in the west of Shehong City, which is a hilly area. It borders the county town in the East, Jinjia town in the west, Chengu town in the South and Guangxing town in the north. Sheguan highway runs through the town from east to west. The town is 10 kilometers long from east to west and 2.7 kilometers wide from north to south, covering an area of 27.07 square kilometers, with an altitude of 516 meters. The highest point is longquanzhai, and the lowest point is at the outlet of Wu'an river. The territory is mostly purple brown neutral soil, with slightly higher terrain around and lower terrain in the middle. It has eight administrative villages and one community, including jinyuya village, Wayao Village, huatudi village, Dabei village, Baotang village, Baimamiao village, Zhonggou village, Mozui village and Xiangzhang community. Evolution of administrative districts

From 1712 to the early years of Yongzheng, Taihe Town was established.

In 1935, it belonged to two districts and was called Taihe Lianbao.

In 1940, it was established as Taihe Town.

In 1950, the people's Government of Shehong County was established, and the administrative land was moved from Jinhua town to Taihe Town.

In 1957, it was renamed Chengguan town.

In 1981, it was restored to Taihe Town.

In 1992, Taihe Town was established by merging Chengguan Town, Wu'an Town, Ziyun town and Ping'an town. Ziyun town and Ping'an town are the South and North offices of the city respectively, and Wu'an town is the Wu'an development zone.

In November 2012, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, some administrative divisions of Shehong County were adjusted. The original Taihe Town is divided into three administrative divisions: Ziang sub district office, Ping'an sub district office and Taihe Town. Shehong County separated some administrative areas from Taihe Town and set up two sub district offices, Ping'an and Zi'ang. Ping'an sub district office is located at No. 42, north section of Taihe Avenue, and has jurisdiction over 8 administrative areas of community residents' committees in the former Taihe Town, including qingjiayan; Ziang sub district office is located at No. 23, south section of Taihe Avenue, and has jurisdiction over 14 administrative areas of community residents' committees in the former Taihe Town, including yamen; Taihe Town People's government is located in Wu'an Town, and has jurisdiction over 9 administrative areas of villages, including Xiangzhang community and huatudi.

In October 2019, with the approval of Suining Municipal People's government, some administrative divisions of Shehong will be adjusted. Taihe Town was abolished, and Wu'an town was merged with the original Chen town to establish Wu'an Town, where Wu'an town was located.

After the abolition of the original Taihe Town, Taihe sub district office was established. The 14 neighborhood committees and bailianshan village committee of the original Taihe Town, including the government office, sanyuangong, Desheng street, Shuihu palace, Baohe, huangyihao, Jichang street, Jianshe, hejiaqiao, Funan, liangmaoshan, Wangye temple, nanjinggou, Guixian, were the administrative areas of Taihe sub District Office (i.e. the administrative area of zhiyuan'ang sub district) The sub district office is located at 23 Taihe Avenue South.

Administrative division

When the administrative division of Taihe Town was changed in September 1992, it had jurisdiction over two rural offices in the South and north of the city, and one urban working committee. The merged Wu'an township was renamed Wu'an development zone. There are 12 residents' committees, 28 administrative villages, 249 villagers' groups and 105 residents' groups in the town.
