Yongchang Street
Yongchang street, a street under the jurisdiction of Zhenxing District, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northeast of Zhenxing District. In the southeast, it is bounded by Zhenwu street and adjacent to Linjiang street. In the southwest, it is adjacent to Huayuan street by gymnasium road. In the west, it is adjacent to Biaochang road. In the northeast, it is adjacent to railway Dandong freight processing yard, with a total area of 2.1 square kilometers.
In 1931, the Japanese occupied Northeast China, and Anton became a colony. Today, Yongchang and Linjiang streets are divided into Xuri District, which has jurisdiction over the south, North and Zhenjiang districts. In 1960, Zhenjiang street was renamed Zhenjiang commune. In 1998, Linjiang street was divided into Linjiang and Yongchang streets by Zhenwu Street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Yongchang street was 20334. As of June 2020, Yongchang street has six communities under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the budget revenue of Yongchang street was 49.6 million yuan. Large scale industries paid 9.587 million yuan in taxes, while private enterprises paid 67.3 million yuan in taxes.
History of construction
In 1931, the Japanese occupied Northeast China, and Anton became a colony. Today, Yongchang and Linjiang streets are divided into Xuri District, which governs the south, North and Zhenjiang districts.
In 1945, when Japan surrendered, the Communist Party of China established the people's Government of Anton city. Today, Yongchang street is under the jurisdiction of Zhenxing District (the Fourth District).
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Anton was liberated for the second time and was still under the jurisdiction of Zhenxing District Office.
In 1950, the street office was abolished. Binjiang, Minzhu and Fumin Street offices were under the jurisdiction of Zhenjiang police station, and Yongchang Street office was under the jurisdiction of Zhenxing Road police station.
In 1953, Yongchang Street residents committee was established in today's Yongchang street, which is under the jurisdiction of Zhenxing District.
In 1956, Central District (today's toudaoqiao, Zhanqian Street) and Zhenxing District merged to form Zhenxing District and Zhenjiang street.
In 1960, Zhenjiang street was renamed Zhenjiang commune.
In 1965, Anton city was renamed Dandong City, Zhenxing District was renamed Zhenxing District, and Zhenjiang commune was renamed Linjiang commune in 1965.
From 1971 to 1972, 14 residential buildings were built along the northwest side of Zhenba street, and Zhenba Street Revolutionary Committee was added.
In 1979, the city commune was abolished. Now Yongchang street is still under the jurisdiction of Linjiang street.
In 1998, Linjiang street was divided into Linjiang street and Yongchang street by Zhenwu street.
In 1999, the neighborhood committee was set up under the street, and five community residents committees including Zhenba, Beiqiao, TIYU, hotel and Yongchang were established.
