In December 1962, the general branch committee of the Longfeng commune of the Communist Party of China was established to administer the Longfeng area. In July 1966, Longfeng commune was established. In 1978, Longfeng commune was changed into Longfeng street. In June 1999, Longfeng street in open air district was renamed Longfeng street in Dongzhou District. As of June 2020, Longfeng street has jurisdiction over 9 communities, and its sub district office is located at 11-1 Jinshan street.
