Taoyuan Street, belonging to Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Nanshan District, east to Tanglang mountain, adjacent to Meilin street, Futian District, West to Xili reservoir and Dashahe, facing Xili street, South to Beihuan Avenue, connected to Shahe street, north to Longhua District, Longhua Street, bounded by Yangtai mountain, with an area of 35 square kilometers.

In October 1956, it belongs to Shahe Township, Nantou district. In March 1958, it belongs to Nantou township. In June 2002, Taoyuan Street was set up from Xili street. By the end of 2019, the total population of Taoyuan's streets was about 300 thousand, of which 104 thousand were registered residence. As of June 2020, Taoyuan Street has 12 communities under its jurisdiction. The sub district office is located at 51 Lishan road.

In 2017, Taoyuan Street achieved a GDP of 1.025 billion yuan.

History of construction

In October 1956, it belongs to Shahe Township, Nantou district.

In March 1958, it belongs to Nantou township.

In September 1958, it was located in Nantou production management area of Chaoying commune.

In January 1963, it belonged to Nantou commune.

In January 1979, it belonged to Nantou commune of Nantou district and Shiyan commune of Longhua District in Shenzhen.

In August 1981, it belonged to Nantou commune of Luohu District.

October 17, 1983, belongs to Xili Office of Nantou district.

In September 1990, it belonged to Xili street, Nantou district.

In June 2002, Taoyuan Street was set up from Xili street.

Taoyuan Street was once an important activity base of Dongjiang column and Changyuan, known as "little Yan'an", an old revolutionary base.

Honorary title

In 2001, the wubeiling Shang Dynasty site in Taoyuan Street was named "the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China".
