Heping Township

Heping Township, belonging to Huangyuan County, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located at the foot of Riyue mountain and the Bank of Yaoshui River in the south of the county. It borders Huangzhong County in the East, Riyue Township in the south, Bohang Township in the West and suburban township in the north. The area is 168.9 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 13986 registered residence population.

In 1949, Gaoling township was set up along the old system. In 1958, it was changed into a peace commune. In 1984, Heping township was established. As of October 2019, Heping rural area has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises in Heping Township and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
