Xizhen township is located in the northern suburb of Yuanping City, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It borders Dalin Township on the north, Daniudian town on the west, Jiecun and Xinyuan Township on the south, and Zhongyang Township on the East. They also undertake the task of returning more than 1000 mu of farmland to forests. Pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens and minks are widely cultivated. Xizhen, Wenshu village, houshacheng, shangxiaxuegu and Dongxi village are the most popular Shifeng and other 12 natural villages, located in the Yangwu River Basin, are the 18 villages in Rijia county. These villages have flat terrain, fertile land, convenient irrigation, drought and flood, with an average yield of nearly 1000 kg per mu, known as "ton grain field", and are the main grain producing areas in our city. In Nanyang, Yangfang, Xiashe, Beijia and nanyangdian villages along the Hutuo River, corn is the main food crop, and garlic, watermelon, peanut, soybean, grape, tomato and other economic crops are the supplement. The grain yield of five villages is close to that of 12 villages in Pingchuan District. People make full use of the wide Hutuo River to grow garlic, soybean, peanut, sunflower and other economic crops, ranking among the top in the per capita income of the whole Township and even the whole city. In a word, three different geographical characteristics breed three different fruits of labor. The local people vividly describe Xizhen township as: the hills in the south, the fresh forest and fruit, the miliangchuan in Yangwu River Basin, and the garlic along Hutuo River, all of which prosper and develop together.
