Harvest Town, belonging to Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Minqin County. It is connected with Donghu town in the East, Dongba town in the south, Xiqu town in the West and Xiqu town and Donghu town in the north. It is 61 kilometers away from Minqin County. The area is 203.41 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence households was 14992.

During the Han Dynasty, harvest town belonged to Wuwei County. Western Jin, Northern Dynasties, Northern Wei, Western Wei, Xuanwei county. In April 1983, it was changed into harvest township. In February 2017, the township was withdrawn and the harvest town was established. As of June 2020, Shoucheng town has one community and 15 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Tiancheng community.

In 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Shoushou town.

History of construction

During the Han Dynasty, harvest town belonged to Wuwei County.

In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Mingwei mansion.

In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Yongchang Road.

In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to zhenfanwei.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhenfan county.

In 1947, it belonged to zhongwai and Zhengda.

In December 1955, it was divided into six townships: Huangling, Tianzhou, Yingke, Zhenbao, Shoucheng and Sihu.

In January 1956, it was divided into harvest, Huangling and Sihu.

In October 1958, the three townships merged to form the harvest commune.

In December 1961, it was divided into harvest, Zhonghe and Huangling communes.

In January 1965, the three communes were merged into harvest commune.

In April 1983, it was changed into harvest township.

In February 2017, the township was withdrawn and the harvest town was established.

The origin of place names

The origin of the name of Shoucheng town was named Shouzi because of the "harvest" of "harvest in autumn and winter" in qianwenzi. Later, it was renamed Shoucheng, which means to hope for a bumper harvest.

Honorary title

On September 24, 2019, harvest town (melon) was selected into the list of the ninth batch of national "one village, one product" demonstration villages and towns.
