Longkou town
Longkou Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xingguo County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the south of Xingguo County, known as the "South Gate" of Xingguo. The area is 69.64 square kilometers, registered residence 25 thousand and 400 people (2018), 10 administrative villages (2019).

Historical evolution
In 1930, the Soviet area belonged to Longkou, Laixi and Yanshan townships, the three districts of Xingguo County (Yanshan).
On the eve of liberation, it belonged to Longtou township of Nantang District of Gan county (later changed to Longkou District) and Datong township of Xingguo County.
At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to Longkou District of Ganxian county (later changed to shefu District), Longkou and Liucun Township, and Tangbei township of Butou District of Xingguo County.
In December 1954, Longkou and Liucun in Ganxian county were assigned to Xingguo County.
In 1957, it was merged into Longkou township.
In 1958, Tangbei commune was established.
In 1961, it was renamed Longkou commune.
In 1984, the commune was changed into a township.
In January 1997, the township was set up.

Longkou town is located in the south of Xingguo County, bordering shefu Township and Sanxi township of Ganxian District in the East, Nantang town of Ganxian District in the south, Tiancun town and Bailu township of Ganxian District in the west, Butou Township and Yongfeng Township in the north. It covers an area of 69.64 square kilometers.

Liu Qiyao (1899-1946) was born in Mubu village. He was elected executive member of the Central Committee of the Soviet Republic of China.

Deng Jingwei (1914-1998), a native of Luxi village, was a political commissar of Sichuan military region. He was promoted to the rank of major general in 1964.
Zhou Guang
Zhou Guang (1914-2002), a native of Longkou village, once served as the commander of Jiangxi provincial military division. He was awarded the rank of senior colonel and the rank of commander in chief in 1955.
