Qu'e town
The town is under the jurisdiction of Daning County. Qu'e commune was established in 1958 and the town was established in 1984. Located in the west of the county, 15 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 229.98 square kilometers and has a population of 7902 (2017). The road is open. It has jurisdiction over 11 village committees including Qufeng, Taoism, Heicheng, Gantang, Baicun, Zhijiao, du'e, Baoshang, Shangfang, xinanbao and NEISHI.

Geography
In qu'e Town, there are many gullies, rolling mountains and complex landforms. The whole terrain is high in the north and south, low in the middle, and gradually inclines from east to west. Surrounded by mountains in the north and south, hills and Yuanchuan crisscross in the middle. Xinshui River flows from east to west across qu'e town and into the Yellow River. The terrain on both sides of the valley is gentle and it is the main farming area. The mountains in the territory are all branches of Luliang. Shitou mountain in the southeast corner, with an altitude of 1710 meters, is the highest peak of qu'e town; Huamu mountain, the main peak of Erlang Mountain in the south, with an altitude of 1626 meters; Shiping mountain in the north, with an altitude of more than 1500 meters. The river has Xinshui River. Its tributary Yiting river originates from jingangliang, Jixian County. From southeast to northwest, it flows into Xinshui River at Chengguan, with a total length of 70 km.

The climate is warm temperate semi-arid Continental, with an average annual temperature of 10.8 ℃, about - 7 ℃ in January and about 23 ℃ in July. The annual rainfall is 517 mm and the frost free period is 180 days.

The total cultivated land is 151100 mu, with wheat and corn as the main food crops and cotton and oil as the main economic crops. The forest area is 290000 mu. The main industrial products are raw coal, coke, cement, monosodium glutamate, etc. In addition, there are machinery, hardware, construction, printing, processing and other industries.

The traffic is mainly by highway, especially the four trunk lines from Linfen to Daning, from Daning to Linyi, from Daning to Xixian, and from Daning to Yonghe. In addition, there are some county-level highways and township level highways, and the transportation in some mountainous areas is still carried by people and livestock, so the transportation is not very developed.
