Shengli Township, Dingyuan County, Anhui Province is located 15 kilometers south of Dingyuan County, covering an area of 37.6 square kilometers. Hu village is an ancient market town. It got its name from Hu's family name. Shengli was named after the cultural revolution. It has jurisdiction over 6 village committees, 77 production teams and 80 natural villages. 1888 households, 9820 people, mostly Han nationality, minority Hui nationality.
Shengli township is a hilly area, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The cultivated land area is 22344 Mu and the effective irrigation area is 20200 mu. The main crops are rice and wheat, as well as rape, potato, peanut, beans and cotton. In 1990, the grain planting area was 33755 mu, the yield per mu was 325 kg, the total yield was 10954 tons; the cotton planting area was 1320 mu, the total yield was 46 tons; the oil planting area was 14280 mu, the yield per mu was 107 kg, the total yield was 1532 tons. 5122 pigs were sold. In addition to planting trees on the four sides, small forest farms have been built in six villages, and the afforestation area accounts for about 2% of the total area of the township. The per capita grain production is 1570 Jin, and the per capita annual net income of farmers is 585 yuan.
The terrain of Shengli township is higher. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, the water conservancy conditions were poor and often suffered from drought. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, maqiaoba, gangwang reservoir and production team leading pond were built, and most of the farmland was protected from drought and flood.
Shengli township is located in the remote, long-term traffic congestion. In the 1980s, there were gravel roads connected with Hefei Bengbu highway, and there were passenger buses to the county. The local roads were vertical and horizontal, and the traffic was more convenient than before.
