History and culture
The name of Daban dates back to the Qing Dynasty. According to the records of tazigou, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, some Mongolians used a big house to name their village. Big house is called "Yihe Baixing" in Mongolian, and "Yihe" means "Da" in Chinese, while "Baixing" is homophonic as "Banshang". Later, it was also referred to as "Daban".
