The township has an area of 8900 mu of cultivated land. No. 53, group 8, Zhongping village, where the township government is located, is 1912 meters above sea level and 38 kilometers away from the county seat. In 2012, the GDP was 47.98 million yuan, an increase of 8%; the township fiscal revenue was 920000 yuan, an increase of 3%; the per capita net income of farmers was 5670 yuan, an increase of 12%. The sown area of crops is 15729 mu, of which the sown area of grain is 5867 mu, with a total output of 2506 tons; the sown area of flue-cured tobacco is 7333 mu, with a total output of 25800 Dan, and the income of tobacco farmers is 23.43 million yuan. It has 976.5 silkworms, 940 cocoons and 1.41 million yuan of income. There are 5713 livestock in stock and 6202 out of stock, with a total meat output of 983.34 tons. in order to improve the multiple cropping index of land and increase farmers' income, autumn tartary buckwheat was planted in Liziping village of Haizi Township in 2014. Through demonstration planting in Liziping village, more than 1600 mu of autumn tartary buckwheat has been planted by farmers in the township.
