Haizi Township
Haizi Township, belonging to tumed Right Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of tumed Right Banner, in the south of Salaqi Town, bordering on subogai Township and jiangjunyao town in the East, Dalate Banner of Ordos City across the river in the south, mingshanao Township in the West and Salaqi town in the north. The area is 249 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 38410 people registered residence.
In 1958, it was incorporated into Tumet banner with Salaqi county. During the communization, the satellite commune was established together with fayanshen Township, 24qingdi Township and mingshanao township. In April 1959, the satellite commune was renamed fayanshen commune. In September 1961, Haizi commune was established from fayanshen commune. In September 1984, Haizi commune was transformed into a township. In June 2020, Haizi rural area has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 32 industrial enterprises in Haizi Township, including 2 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 24 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1946, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of the sixth autonomous Supervision Office of Tumet special banner, while the Han nationality was under the jurisdiction of nanyuanzi Township and Hebin township of Salaqi county.
In April 1950, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 6 of tumed banner, and the Han nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 3 of Salaqi county.
In March 1954, the Sixth District of tumed banner was merged into Salaqi County, and the Mongolian and Han people in the township were under the jurisdiction of the third district of Salaqi county.
In 1956, the township was withdrawn and designated as Haizi township.
In 1958, it was incorporated into Tumet banner with Salaqi county. During the communization, the satellite commune was established together with fayanshen Township, 24qingdi Township and mingshanao township.
In April 1959, the satellite commune was renamed fayanshen commune.
In September 1961, Haizi commune was established from fayanshen commune.
In September 1984, Haizi commune was transformed into a township.
In April 2001, fayanshen township was merged into Haizi Township and moved to zhongxingdi village.
In February 2006, 24 Qingdi township was incorporated into the city.
