Zhaoxian town

The town of Zhao Xian, located in Juxian, Rizhao City, Shandong, is located in the north of Juxian, and is adjacent to the Ssang yuan town in the East. It is adjacent to the town of the mountain, adjacent to the south of Chengyang, the South and the Chengyang, the West and Yalong Town, the Luohe Town, and the northwest and the town of the mountain. The north and northeast are adjacent to the Yali Town, Wulian County, with an area of 107.22 square kilometers, and in 2018, the registered residence population is 74499.

In 1929, it belonged to the third district of Juxian County, where the district office was located. In March 1958, it was called Zhaoxian township. In September of the same year, it was changed into rocket commune. In 1971, it was changed into Zhaoxian commune. In June 1984, it was changed into Zhaoxian town. As of June 2020, Zhaoxian town has 11 communities under its jurisdiction.

In 2018, there were 40 industrial enterprises in Zhaoxian Town, including 12 above scale enterprises and 138 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1929, it belonged to the third district of Juxian County, where the district office was located.

In 1943, the Anti Japanese democratic government established Jubei County, and Zhaoxian was assigned to Jubei county.

In March 1958, it was called Zhaoxian township. In September of the same year, it was changed into rocket commune.

In January 1959, 11 villages were divided into Sino Soviet friendship commune (Lizhuang) and 7 villages into Communist commune (Maobu). After that, rocket commune was renamed Zhaoxian commune.

In December 1962, the communes of Maobu and Lizhuang were abolished, and the designated villages returned to Zhaoxian district.

In 1971, it was changed into Zhaoxian commune.

In June 1984, it was changed into Zhaoxian town.
