Nan'an town is located in the northeast corner of Wenshui County, adjacent to Fenhe River in the East, at the junction of Wenshui County, Jiaocheng County, Qingxu County and Qixian County, 30 kilometers away from the county. The town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, with a population of 34475 (2017), and cultivated land of more than 65000 mu, including pear planting of more than 50000 mu. Dayun Expressway, mazuan road and Nanliu Road pass through the city. With convenient transportation, it is one of the four towns in Wenshui. Nan'an town is a typical town with agriculture as the leading industry, among which forestry and fruit industry is the most prominent. The area of pear trees planted in the town reaches more than 50000 mu. It is one of the largest production bases of high quality pear in North China.
