Ganting town

Ganting town is subordinate to Hongdong County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. It was built in 1984. Located in the southern edge of the county, 15 kilometers away from the county, 18 kilometers away from Linfen City. It borders Quting town in the East, Tunli town in Yaodu District in the south, Wucun town in Yaodu District across Fenhe River in the West and dahuashu town in the north. It covers an area of 53.53 square kilometers and has a population of 36162 (2017).

The town governs 20 village committees: Ganting, Shangqiao, Yangqu, Shishi, Dongbao, Yanbi, Jinbao, Shangwang, Guobao, dongkong, Xikong, Hualin, Nandu, Beidu, Lichun, Beiyang, Houjian, Tianjing, nanyangyu and Yangyu.

The Fenhe River flows from north to South and from the west of the town.

Ganting town has convenient transportation. There are 108 National Highway, 309 National Highway, Nantongpu railway, Binhe East Road on the East Bank of Fenhe River, which is very convenient to all towns, counties and cities. Linfen ring expressway has set up a toll station in the north of Linfen.

There is Ganting freight railway station, only a few kilometers south of Yaodu airport in Linfen.

Linfen Economic Development Zone (Hongdong Ganting) Industrial Park is a high-tech eco industrial economic demonstration park jointly established with Linfen economic development zone and Hongdong County in accordance with the general requirements of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government for "transformation and leapfrog development" and the principle of "comprehensive cooperation, integration of resources, complementary advantages and win-win innovation". It is also the first large-scale industrial park in the city to undertake the industrial transfer from the eastern coast Base.
