Shuitou Town is located in the west of Xia County, 17 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Wenxi in the north, Salt Lake area in the West and south, and Yuwang Township in the East.

Shuitou Town is located at 111 ° 15 ′ E and 35 ° 11 ′ n, with the topography of "two high and one low". Its height is mainly hilly and its low is Wushui alluvial plain. The climate is mild.

Shuitou Town's South Tongpu railway, Dayun Expressway and second-class highway pass through the town from south to north. Simawen temple, duiyun cave and other tourist attractions have been opened one after another. Xiaxian Industrial Park has been established here, with convenient transportation.

Shuitou Town covers an area of 89.03 square kilometers, with 85777 mu of cultivated land. There are 28 administrative villages in the town, of which Zhongyuan village was immigrated from qijiahe Township in 1998. There are 45 natural villages and 172 villager groups. The town government is located in Shuitou village.

On December 24, 2019, it will be included in the list of national rural governance demonstration towns.

Geographical resources

Dayun Expressway, second grade road (Datong Yuncheng), Taisan line (Taiyuan Sanmenxia) National Highway and Nantongpu railway line run through them. Economic situation
