Hengshui town

Hengshui Town, subordinate to Chongyi County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Chongyi county. It is named after the "bend around profile" of Hengshui river. It is the seat of Chongyi county government, the political, economic and cultural center of Chongyi County, and the town government is located in Yangling Avenue. The area is 344.10 square kilometers (2018), and the registered residence population is about 54 thousand and 300 (2018). It has 5 communities and 16 administrative villages (2019).

Historical evolution

In 1520, it belonged to taipingfang.

In February 1941, Hengshui township was changed to Hengshui Town, and its name was used in the early days of the people's Republic of China.

In 1959, the Hengshui brigade of Hongqi people's commune was set up and Chengguan people's commune was established.

In 1968, it was renamed Chengguan town.

On February 0, 1975, "Chengguan town" was changed to "Hengshui town" and "Chengguan brigade" was changed to "Hengshui brigade".

On December 10, 1988, Hengshui township was abolished and its administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Hengshui town.

On October 21, 2003, chatan township was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Hengshui town.

The town government is located in Yangling Avenue.

In 2004, Hengshui town achieved GDP of 72.86 million yuan, fiscal revenue of 5.668 million yuan and local fiscal revenue of 4.583 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 3568 yuan.

Transportation

Hengshui town has obvious regional advantages and is the transportation hub of Chongyi county. Xiamen Chengdu expressway, Ganfeng line of national highway 357 and Chongyu line of national highway 220 all pass through the territory; the waterway passes through Shuikou and xinkeng, enters into Bujie and Jieba in the west, enters doushui Lake in the East and flows into Shangyou river.
