Taiyang township is in the southeast of Huishui county. It covers an area of 141.1 square kilometers.

Introduction to hometown

The population is 12600, of which Bouyei, Miao and other nationalities account for 71.4%. It has jurisdiction over 16 village committees: Xinzhai village, BoShao village, Shimen village, Baie village, Baiwang village, manmo village, Tianba village, Jieshang village, Heping Village, Gangjin village, Fengpo village, Wuxing village, Yinqiao village, rhinoceros village, Dongkou village and Gaoping Village.

Historical overview

The water well beside the village of Lawa, the hometown of Taiyang, is famous for its dazzling light. In 1930, Jianzhao town and Taiyang Township were established. In 1941, it was established as assimilation township. Taiyang, Dongzhao and Shuitou were established in 1953. In 1958, the township was withdrawn and incorporated into Redtory commune. In 1963, sun and Dong Zhao communes were established. In 1984, the society was transformed into the countryside. In 1991, Taiyang township was merged and part of Luoping township was incorporated.

economic development

There are coal mines. Produce peach, plum, pear, persimmon and other fruits. There are 11 primary schools. Xinchangba Township People's government resident, 26 kilometers southeast of Huishui, Dongzhao River upstream. The population is nearly 200, all of them belong to Buyi Nationality. The altitude is 1180 meters. In 1975, Xiangchang was moved from tianbazhai to xinchangba. Yashui Xiantang highway passes through here.
