Longju Town, located in Yanhu District, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, is located in the western suburb of the urban area, 20 miles away from the urban area. It was once a model town of agricultural xuedazhai in Shanxi Province.

Relying on Fenhe Delta, a tributary of the Yellow River, the town has a cultivated land area of 98000 mu, mainly developing planting industry, with cotton, apple, pear, corn and other crops. It is a pure agricultural town.

Among the economic forest products, red Heiti grape (Shangyi Maosheng sanjiazhuang), early ripening nectarine in Nanhua village, hongxiangsuli in Dongxinzhuang, Xiaoqu and Nanzhuang villages, Xuezao in Dazhang village and greenhouse vegetables in Shangyi, xiaozhangwu and Zhaocun villages have gradually formed characteristics. The development of breeding industry mainly focuses on sheep, pigs, chickens and cows, mainly concentrated in Dongxinzhuang and xunma villages in the north of the town. Folk Art

The folk art of Longju mainly includes:

1. The lion dance in Maosheng village of Luoyi was popular in the late Qing Dynasty. At the beginning, there were only one or two lions performing. In 1993-94, experts from the municipal and district cultural bureaus rectified the lion dance and named it "Hedong lion dance", a large square folk art performance for 36 lions. In 1999, it won the silver award of "Shanxi folk art exhibition".

2. The flower basket lantern of Zhaocun is a popular folk activity in the late Qing Dynasty. The performance line-up consists of about 100 young women dressed in national costumes, holding the flower basket lantern, dancing and composing various patterns from time to time.

3. One of the masterpieces of two old artists is the 83 year old Zhao Yulan in Luoyi village. Her paper-cut art forms are diverse and rich in content. She has been providing services for the village's weddings and funerals all the year round. In particular, her series of paper-cut works "twelve zodiac" and "twenty four filial piety" are exquisite. The other is Mr. Liu keshao, an engineer of Gongmei and a farmer's calligrapher and painter in Wangtun village. He has more than 100 works, mainly calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. He successfully held his own Spring Festival calligraphy and painting exhibition in the new year of 1995.
