Xicheng Street

Xicheng street, founded on December 18, 2000, is named after its location in the western suburb of the city. Before liberation, it was part of Yongyi township. Some fishermen and vagrants built more than ten small embankments and mounds to avoid floods. The present administrative division of Xicheng consists of louxiwan, dangjiadun, lingelao, Hengdun, huangnitao and Longwan.

In 1958, Junshan Township built a state-owned Junshan farm in Hunan Province. The third, fourth and seventh branches of Junshan farm were operated according to the farm system. After 1989, the seventh and fourth branches were merged into Wangcheng branch, and the third branch was renamed linge branch. In 2000, Wangcheng branch and linge branch of the former Junshan farm merged to set up streets. Xicheng Street covers an area of 34 square kilometers, with a total population of 26497 (2010). It has six villages, including fanzui, erzhouzi, Dongting, Tongxin, Shuangyuan and huangnitao, three neighborhood committees, including linjiaolao, Wangcheng and Songhu, and 89 villager groups. The office has Lin Ge Lao.
