Longfeng town

Longfeng town covers an area of 31 square kilometers and has a population of 11870 people (2017). Its economy is dominated by agriculture, which is relatively backward. The Ying (Shan) Qu (county) highway runs through the whole town, but the road condition is very poor, and it has not been connected to every village, so the traffic is extremely inconvenient.

Evolution of organizational system

It was built in the 25th year of Jiaqing period in the Qing Dynasty. Longfeng township was set up in 1950, Longfeng commune was changed in 1958, Longfeng township was restored in 1984, and Longfeng township was set up in 2018.

Longfeng town is the west gate of Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is connected with Qingxichang town in the East, Gongshi Township and Xinshi town in the south, Xiqiao Town in Yingshan County in the west, and Jingbian town and Xiaoqiao town in Yingshan County in the north. Longfeng Town People's town government is 30 kilometers away from Quxian county. The terrain of the whole town is high in the north and low in the south, belonging to mountainous and shallow hilly terrain. The highest elevation is 1582.8 meters in gangjiaping of Guange village, and the lowest point is 290 meters in Tashui bridge of Tashui village. Ying (Shan) Qu (county) highway runs through the whole territory. Because it is located at the junction of two counties and two cities, the rural market trade is active, and there are more than 30000 people in the market town. Guange village is 2.8km away from the government's residence, with an average altitude of 1400m and a forest coverage rate of more than 65%. It is a natural mixed forest with many rare and protected animals and plants. There are three reservoirs (the first reservoir, the second reservoir and the Longfeng reservoir) and many ancient architectural sites. With green mountains and waters and beautiful scenery, it is a good place for leisure and exploration and has great tourism development value.

There is no airport in Longfeng Town, but there are many airports around it. It is 170km away from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, about 2 hours' drive; 90km away from Nanchong Gaoping airport, about 80 minutes' drive; 120km away from Dazhou Heshi airport, about 2 hours' drive.

Health

There are 11 health centers, family planning service stations and village health service stations in Longfeng Town, and 15 medical staff in the central health center. The participation rate of the new rural cooperative medical system in the whole town reached 100%, and the family planning rate reached 90%.

School education

Longfeng town has one nine-year central school, six village primary schools and two kindergartens. The enrollment rate of primary and secondary schools is more than 99%. The nine-year central school is close to mountains and rivers, covering an area of about 40000 square meters and a building area of about 5000 square meters (3 teaching buildings, 4 comprehensive buildings, 4 student accommodation buildings and 4 staff and family buildings). It has kindergartens, primary schools and junior middle schools. It has four village primary schools, nearly 30 teaching classes and nearly 3000 students. The school has complete supporting facilities, including two basketball courts, table tennis courts, children's paradise, student service area, etc. In 2007, the school was identified as "Sichuan distance education project school", with two network classrooms, two multimedia classrooms, one film and television teaching room, one music classroom and one art classroom. In 2008, the school was rated as "Dazhou demonstration Township Central School" and "Quxian advanced health unit". Its kindergarten was rated as "Dazhou rural qualified kindergarten".
