Chengdong street, formerly known as Yanlong, belongs to Lufeng City, the East Bank of the lower reaches of Luohe River and the South China Sea. In 1986, it was withdrawn from the district to build a town. The town is located in the east of the county seat and is renamed Chengdong town. The total population of the town is about 60000, with a total area of 48 square kilometers and a cultivated area of 24380 mu. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 48 villager groups. It has superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Since the reform and opening up, the town has made certain achievements in economic, social and cultural undertakings. The town is the main grain producing area of Lufeng City.
