Dongguan town is located in the middle of Jinzhong 108 National Road Economic Corridor. It is the South Gate of Taiyuan, the provincial capital. Dongguan town is a thoroughfare. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a well-known grain distribution center. There are four major transportation centers in the province, including Nantongpu railway, national highway 108, national highway 208 and Dayun highway. Nantongpu railway is an important transportation hub in 10 provinces.
