Nanling Township

Nanling township is located in the southwest mountainous area of Zezhou County, 31 kilometers away from Jincheng city. Its geographical location is remote, connecting Lichuan town in the East, Dongzhi town of Yangcheng County across Qinhe River in the west, Shanhe town in the south, Lizhai Township and Nancun Town in the north. It is about 12.5 km wide from east to west and 5 km long from north to south, with a total area of 77.02 square kilometers (in 2017). It has a cultivated land area of 12098 Mu and has jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages. Population 3126 (2017).

There are no enterprises on the ground and few underground resources in the township. The agricultural industry is dominated by traditional planting, forestry and fruit industry, mainly producing wheat, millet, corn and soybeans. It is a typical agricultural township. In 2006, the township was listed as the new rural construction demonstration township of "one town, one township and one hundred villages" in Zezhou county. With the support of the county Party committee and the county government, the county set up the leading group to promote the new rural construction of Nanling Township, and completed the overall plan for the new rural construction of Nanling township. In the past two years from 2006 to 2008, the cadres and masses of the whole township have made great progress in promoting economic and social undertakings by taking the new rural construction as the starting point, seeking truth, being pragmatic and forging ahead.

Development status

By 2008, all 27 administrative villages in the township have achieved the goal of connecting oil roads, 90% of the villages have completed the hardening of main streets, 60% of the villages have achieved the goal of drinking water safety, and the radio and television coverage rate has reached 100%. 1208 biogas (straw gas) households have been completed and under construction in the township. Mr. Gou Taiming invested in the construction and operation of the school, and renovated the Tangdi temple, a provincial cultural protection unit. From 2006 to 2008, we further strengthened the construction of 2000 mu Suli base, built 3000 mu high-quality walnut base, built more than 6100 boxes of beekeeping base, built Duanyu shuangqian pig farm and gewanwan pig farm. In 2007, the participation rate of new rural cooperative medical system reached 94.5%, the participation rate of rural social endowment insurance reached 36%, the fiscal and tax income reached 2.98 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3790 yuan.

Honors

On July 29, 2020, Nanling township was named as the National Health township (county) in 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
