Gujiao township of Lingchuan County is located in the southeast of Shanxi Province, at the junction of Shanxi and Henan provinces, 35 kilometers east of Lingchuan County, bordering Huixian city of Henan Province in the southeast, Liuquan Township in the north, Lucheng Township and Magedang Township in the west, and Gaoling expressway runs across the East and West, with convenient transportation. It has an administrative area of 230.8 square kilometers, 13000 mu of arable land, 29 administrative villages, 291 natural villages and 8121 permanent residents (2017).
