Shangguan town
Shangguan town is located in Dai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the whole county. It is also a poverty-stricken Township designated by the state. It has been lifted out of poverty in 2018.
Shangguan town used to be a county, county and Daotai administrative office in ancient times. It was initially divided into two districts after the founding of new China. Chengguan Township was designated in 1953; Chengguan town was changed in 1956 and Xinghuo Township in 1958; when Fanshi and Daixian were merged into Fanshi County in the same year, it was changed into Daicheng commune; after Fanshi and Daixian were divided into counties, Daixian County restored its original administrative district and built Chengguan commune in 1961; the commune system was cancelled in 1984 and Chengguan town was renamed; in 2001, the county was established When the administrative division is adjusted, the name of Chengguan town is required to be abolished in the town where the county is located. Because the name of Shangguan town used to be on behalf of the county in history, the original Chengguan town is renamed Shangguan town. The town government was originally located in the East Street of the county, moved to Dongguan in 1987 and moved to southwest Street in 2007.
Shangguan town is located on the North Bank of Hutuo River, Yanmenguan Nanchuan, shangmoufang Township in the East, and Xingao Township in the south across Hutuo River. The administrative area is 86.41 square kilometers, and the terrain is flat and half sloped. It has 29 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, including 14 non poverty villages and 15 poverty villages, with 83483 permanent residents (in 2017), 40378 mu of cultivated land, 20000 mu of pasture and 12000 mu of economic forest.

The administrative area of the town is 86.41 square kilometers, with 371.73 million mu of arable land and 12000 mu of economic forest. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers reached 3748 yuan. Shangguan town takes optimizing planting, cultivating animal husbandry, highlighting forestry and fruit industry, and strengthening high-efficiency agriculture as the main line. With the goal of achieving agricultural efficiency, increasing farmers' income, and safe and harmonious development, Shangguan town strives to cultivate and expand the industrial development pattern of "forest, grass and animal husbandry" in the northern slope and "trade, industry and agriculture" in the suburbs. The traditional planting industry of Shangguan town is mainly corn, sorghum, millet and millet, and the economic crops are mainly apple, pear, walnut, grape, melon and vegetable. By 2011, 40 greenhouses of Wuli Village standardized solar greenhouse demonstration base in the town have been put into use, introducing all kinds of high-quality vegetable varieties; high efficiency millet demonstration base of 300 mu; walnut forest base of 700 mu in Shuiyu village and Fangchang village; and water fruit base of 940 mu in dayanwang village with Suli as the main. In 2011, the area of fruit forest reached 3943 mu, and the area of other forests was more than 12000 mu. Animal husbandry has also developed rapidly. By the end of 2011, there were 6600 pigs, 12000 sheep, 24000 poultry and 1380 large livestock in the town, with more than 40 large-scale farmers and a total output value of 36.55 million yuan. There are more than 70 farmers' professional cooperatives in the town, which play an important role in improving farmers' organizational level, increasing farmers' income and building modern agriculture, and play a leading role in promoting the prosperity and development of rural economy and increasing farmers' income. In 2011, Tianbao poultry, Guanshan beef cattle and Xinxin Red Sun Apricot cooperatives established by farmers in the town were selected into the list of the first batch of farmers' professional cooperatives in China.

At the beginning of liberation, it was divided into two districts: Chengguan Township in 1953, Chengguan town in 1956, Xinghuo Township in 1958, Daicheng commune in Fanhe county and Chengguan commune in 1961. It was changed into Chengguan town in 1981 and Shangguan town in 2002.
