economic development
Fenshuiling township is poor in mineral resources and poor in natural conditions. There are big mountains and deep ditches, thick rocks and thin soil. 450 hectares of cultivated land are mostly hung on the hillsides along both sides of national highway 208. The climate is cold, the frost free period is short, the agricultural production conditions are limited, and the yield is low and unstable. The total rural economic income of the township was 399700 yuan in 1978 and 7450000 yuan in 2010; the per capita income of farmers in the township was 54 yuan in 1978 and 2600 yuan in 2010. since the founding of new China, with the strong support of the party and the government, the production and living conditions in the watershed mountains have changed greatly, but this historical problem has never been fundamentally solved. Since the reform and opening up, in the process of continuous poverty alleviation, especially the practice of Shanxi Provincial Committee of agriculture and industry in three years (1995-1998), the agricultural production conditions here have been fundamentally changed. 265 hectares of high standard basic farmland were newly built in the township, reaching 340 hectares, realizing the goal of 2 mu of basic farmland per capita. Among them, 4 villages, including Nanguan and Xijiao, have built 2155 meters of stone dams and 83 hectares of land; 3 villages, including watershed and Yanzhuang, have built 110 hectares of terraced fields; and each village in the township has built 70 hectares of terraced fields. At the same time, the conditions related to agricultural production, such as afforestation of barren hills, raising cattle and sheep, water, electricity and roads, have also changed greatly, and the ability to resist natural disasters has been greatly improved. In 1998, the total grain output was 1.625 million kg, 485 kg per capita, which completely solved the historical problem of "satiety". while ensuring the stable growth of grain production, vigorously develop animal husbandry based on cattle and sheep, and successively introduce 260 large yellow cattle in southern Shanxi and 2000 fine breed cashmere goats in Northwest Shanxi. Supporting services, convenient for farmers, to ensure the promotion effect. In 2009, 4171 cattle and 2930 sheep were raised in the township. By 2010, the Party committee and government of Fenshuiling township will seize the opportunity to give full play to the location advantages of the traffic arteries, vigorously develop the tertiary industry focusing on business, catering, accommodation, transportation and marketing, and repair services, and build a new Sinan business service area. We have trained a number of drivers, repairmen, cooks, waiters and management personnel, built 10 hotels, 46 stores of various types along national highway 208, opened up a market for local products and two business service areas. Obviously, with agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and the tertiary industry as the two wings, science and technology as the wings and the three industries as the driving force, the poverty and backwardness of Fenshuiling township has fundamentally changed.
