Jiujie Township

Jiujie township is under the jurisdiction of Hailin City. It is located in the south of the city, on the South Bank of Langlang River, adjacent to Ning'an County in the south. The township government is 30 kilometers away from Hailin town.

Related introduction

The name of Jiujie comes from the ruins of ningguta in Qing Dynasty. In 1666 (the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), all the officers and soldiers of the general yamen of ningguta and the people of the whole city moved to ningguta new city, so they called the original ningguta city "old street" (also known as "old city"). Later, the old city was abandoned due to flood and disrepair. During the period of the Republic of China, it was subordinate to Zixin township of Ning'an County in 1921. After the fall of Northeast China, it was subordinate to the new security in 1933, and the old street village was set up in 1939. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Xinhai county was divided into Xin'an district and civilized district in August 1946. In September 1948, after Xinhai and Wulin counties merged into Hailin County, they belonged to Xin'an district and Shihe district respectively. In October 1949, it was transferred to the seventh and ninth districts. In March 1956, Hailin county was abolished and transferred to Ning'an county. In May of the same year, Jiujie township was set up. In January 1958, Jiujie township was abolished. In 1961, Xin'an commune and Shihe commune were divided into some areas to establish Jiujie commune. In October 1962, after the restoration of Hailin County, it was under the jurisdiction of Hailin county. In April 1984, it was changed into Jiujie township. In 2001, township regionalization was adjusted, and Jiujie township was merged into Changting town.

Development status

Jiujie township is close to Hailang River, with hills and plains. The total area of the township is 167 square kilometers, with 100000 mu of arable land. Rich in sun cured tobacco, Mancheng, Guta, DA and other villages are rich in big and small amber, with good color, strong fragrance and good combustion performance, known as "tower tobacco". The Astragalus membranaceus of the old street is famous all over the country, known as "flagpole Ziqi". In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 48.1 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over 20 villages, including Yanglin, hada, Shuangfeng, wanzhang, Changying, Tuanjie, Liulin, Mancheng, Changzheng, Zhangming, Shengli, Bujia, Xincheng, Nangou, Longtoushan, Jiujie, Ninggu, Gucheng, Guta and Machang. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 17200, of which Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 21%. The township government is located in Yanglin village. in the west of the ancient city village, there is only a remnant wall of more than 300 meters in the East and north of the inner city. It was approved as a cultural relic protection unit in Heilongjiang Province in 1981.
