Suqiao town

Suqiao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yongfu County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Guilin city and the northeast of Yongfu County, bordering Luojin town and Sitang town of Lingui District in the East, Yongfu town in the south, Longjiang Township in the West and Liangjiang town of Lingui District in the north, with an administrative area of 124.04 square kilometers. In January 2000, Suqiao town was built from township. By the end of 2018, 28780 people had registered residence in Suqiao Town, and there were Han, Zhuang, Hui, Dong, Yao and Manchu nationalities. By the end of 2019, Suqiao town has one community and eight administrative villages, and the town government is located in Suqiao street.

In 2018, there were 130 industrial enterprises in Suqiao Town, including 40 above scale and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In September 2018, Suqiao town was listed in the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas of the people's Republic of China and the Ministry of finance of the people's Republic of China.

History of construction

In January 2000, Suqiao town was built from township to Township, and its administrative region remained unchanged, without increasing the organization and staffing.

Suqiao town is mainly composed of plains and hills, with Tianping mountain in the west, high in the East and West, and low in the middle. Daling mountain in the west is 773 meters above sea level; mount Xishan in the southwest is 649.2 meters above sea level; zhuliantang mountain in the southeast is 557 meters above sea level.

Suqiao town has a mid subtropical monsoon climate with an average annual precipitation of 1676.10 mm from 1991 to 2005. The highest annual precipitation is 2650.60 mm, and the lowest is 1441.20 mm. Precipitation mainly concentrated in April to July, accounting for 61% of the annual precipitation. Rainstorm often occurs in May and June, which is easy to cause waterlogging. After August, the precipitation decreased gradually, and autumn drought often occurred. Transportation

In Suqiao Town, Hunan Guangxi railway passes through the eastern part of the town, and a railway station is set up in Suqiao community where the town government is stationed, which is called daxihe railway station. The main highway in Yongfu county passes through the western part of the town, and connects with Guisi highway in the two rivers of Lingui. In addition, there are the first-class highway from Lingui to Suqiao, the second-class highway from Suqiao to Huangdong, and the second-class highway from Suqiao to Luzhai. Each administrative village is connected with cement highway.

The local language of Suqiao town is Guilin dialect and Pinghua, and Yao people speak Yao dialect.
