Anping town

Anping Town, formerly known as anpingsi, is located in the east of Anren County, bordering Chaling County, and in the southeast of the county. It has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees, 14 administrative villages, and 255 Village (resident) groups, with a land area of 51.5 square kilometers and a cultivated land area of 2683 hectares. With flat and open terrain and convenient transportation, it is an important border trade area of Anren Chaling. It mainly produces high-quality rice, flue-cured tobacco, tea, etc. Anping town has been listed as the city's "well-off model town" and the province's "Education Star Town". Anping town is the transportation, economic, cultural and educational center of 10 towns in the upper half of Anren County. The current population is 58271 (2017).
