Pingyang town
Pingyang Town, belonging to Gannan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northeast of Gannan county and on the right bank of the Nuomin River, a tributary of Nenjiang River. It is adjacent to the Nuomin River in the East and Xingren Township, Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner, Inner Mongolia autonomous region across the river, Dongyang town in the south, Chahayang farm in the West and Chahayang Township in the north. It is 83 kilometers away from the county, with a total administrative area of 118.4 square kilometers .
In the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), Pingyang town was a hunting area for the eight banners of butha. In April 1985, Pingyang commune was changed into Pingyang town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Pingyang town was 17968. In 2019, Pingyang town governs five administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in Dongsheng Village.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), it was a hunting area for the eight banners of butha. Guangxu 31 years (1905), the withdrawal of Buteha Deputy Du Tong, under the West Road Buteha manager.
In October 1933, it was assigned to the Fifth District of Gannan county and changed to Pingyang town; in December of the same year, it was changed to the Fifth District. In 1938, it was changed to Pingyang village. In March 1946, Pingyang district was changed. In 1947, Chahayang district was located in the northern part of the territory.
In March 1956, it was divided into three townships: Hongxing, Xingli and Shengli.
In January 1957, Shengli township was renamed Pingyang township.
In April 1958, Xingli township was merged into Pingyang township; in September of the same year, Pingyang, Hongxing, Chahayang Township and Chahayang farm were merged into Dongfanghong commune; at the end of the same year, they were separated from Chahayang farm and changed into Pingyang commune.
In September 1962, Chahayang commune was established in the northern half of Pingyang commune.
In April 1985, Pingyang commune was changed into Pingyang town.

In 2011, Pingyang town has jurisdiction over two communities of Zhenxing and Xinhua, and five administrative villages of Dongsheng, Yongli, Jianguo, Xinglong and Hongguang.
In 2019, Pingyang town has five administrative villages: Dongsheng Village, Yongli village, Jianguo village, Xinglong Village and Hongguang Village, with the people's Government in Dongsheng Village.
