Longmen township is located in the north of the county. It is bordered by siyiamo mountain in the East, Moxi Township in the southwest, Tuomu Township and Jueluo Township in the Meigu River in the southwest, xigansa Township in the southeast, and Hagu Township, ekugu Township and ANIMU Township in the northwest. The terrain is high in the northeast, with the highest altitude of 3558m; low in the southwest, with the lowest altitude of 1936m. The total area is 59.14 square kilometers.

Longmen township is located in the north of the county. The terrain is high in the northeast, with the highest altitude of 3558m; low in the southwest, with the lowest altitude of 1936m. The total area is 59.14 square kilometers. Situo, Suowa gujue village, is located on the East Bank of Meigu River and next to Chengmei highway, with an altitude of 2030 meters and 21 kilometers away from the county seat. It has jurisdiction over 9 villages of wagujue, Gala, Taha, Hongbi, Ertuo, shubuyilo, ganha, ermaqian and huowo, 40 groups, with a total of 763 households and 3501 people. Among them, 3500 are of Yi nationality and 1 is of Han nationality. The population density is 59.20 per square kilometer.

Historical evolution

In July 1956, two townships, xiaohagu and ganha, were set up in jingyete west district. In October 1958, after the removal of jingyete West District, xiaohagu and Qianha townships were merged into Longmen Township, and the Township People's Committee was established to govern Longmen in Suowa gujue village, which was transferred to Hagu Yida district. On April 1, 1963, haguyida district was abolished and changed to equ ancient district. In August 1968, the Township Reform Committee was established. On March 4, 1972, it was converted into a commune. In 1980, the commune moved to Situo. On July 12, 1981, the commune reform committee was changed into a management committee. In July 1984, the township system was restored and a township government was set up.

In 1990, the total agricultural output value of the township was 961600 yuan (444100 yuan for agriculture, 33300 yuan for forestry, 318500 yuan for animal husbandry, 165700 yuan for sideline and fishery); the area of cultivated land was 6314 mu, and the total grain output was 1090000 kg; the main products were corn, potato, buckwheat, pepper, apple, walnut and pear. There are 1141 yellow cattle, 12 Buffalo, 47 horses, 4556 pigs, 3239 goats and 4036 sheep. There are 1 commercial purchasing and marketing group and 1 Bank Credit Union in the township, 4 rural primary schools with 187 students, 1 health center and 1 medical staff.
