Longmen Township
Longmen township is located in the north of Yongping County. With an area of 297 square kilometers and a population of 12000 (in 2006), there are nine ethnic groups, including Han, Yi, Bai, Miao, Susu and Hui. It has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages, including Guanshang, Shijia, Longmen, Guangying, dalongwu, dapingtan and lizishu, and 107 villager groups. The township government is located in Yiyang street, Guanshang village, 5km away from the county. Located in the upper reaches of Yinjiang River and rich in forest, water conservancy and coal resources, it is one of the three major forestry towns in Yongping County. Yunnan Myanmar highway runs through the countryside. The scenic spot is longtanqing.

Because there is a famous longtanqing in the territory, it is called "Longmen". It borders Beidou Township in the East, Bonan town in the southwest and Yunlong County in the north. The old Yunnan Myanmar highway passes through the township, covering an area of 297.4 square kilometers. The terrain is rectangular, high in the north and low in the south, with many mountains and few dams. The average altitude is 2230 meters. Among them, the highest altitude is 2786 meters for the old base of Longmen Village, and the lowest altitude is 1674 meters for the Yanzi River of Shijia village. The territory is rich in coal, copper and other mineral resources.

Soaking walnut, white papaya, Zanthoxylum, ecological tea and sericulture have gradually become the leading industries of increasing farmers' income and becoming rich in Longmen.
