Suicheng town

Suicheng town is located at 110 ° 14 ′ E and 21 ° 22 ′ n. It is the seat of Suixi County. Zhanjiang City is 16km to the East, and Beibu Gulf ports are 30km to the West. Hainan Island is directly connected to the South Road, and southwest provinces are accessible to the north, covering an area of 265 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Founded in 1149 in Shaoxing of Southern Song Dynasty, it has a history of more than 840 years. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was formerly attached to the first district of Suixi County, which was called Suicheng town in 1957. Topography and soil

It is a low hilly platform with fertile clay soil developed by Sandy Rock. The terrain is low in the West and high in the other three sides. Famous people

Han Ying, a native of nanmenwei, is the main leader of the South Road party organization and the peasant movement in Guangdong Province of the Communist Party of China, and one of the founders of the Suixi party organization of the Communist Party of China. He once engaged in revolutionary activities with Peng Pai, Tan Pingshan, Zhang Tailei, Lu Xiaoshan and others. He was arrested by the Kuomintang authorities on April 24, 1927 and killed in zhuxingling of Suicheng on May 21, 1927. He was only 26 years old.
